Royal Caribbean to Launch Year-Round Singapore Cruises Starting October 2026

Royal Caribbean International has officially confirmed that Navigator of the Seas will operate a full year-round homeport season out of Singapore beginning in October 2026.

Originally slated for a seasonal six-month deployment, the decision to extend the ship’s homeport stay through October 2027 reflects surging regional demand for fly-cruise holidays and solidifies Singapore’s standing as Asia’s primary cruise gateway.

Expanded Southeast Asian Itineraries and Special Voyages

Throughout its extended year-round deployment, Navigator of the Seas will offer a diverse lineup of 2- to 5-night short getaways. Key destinations across Southeast Asia include:

• Malaysia: Calls to Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang).
• Thailand: Port visits to the tropical island of Phuket.
• Vietnam: Island and coastal city excursions.

In addition to short regional escapes, the cruise line announced a 12-night grand repositioning voyage from Tokyo, Japan, to Singapore, providing passengers the option to explore major East and Southeast Asian ports on a single itinerary.

According to official updates from the Royal Caribbean Group Press Center, bookings for the newly expanded Singapore itineraries open on August 18–19, 2026, depending on the market.

Industry Reaction and Economic Impact

The strategic expansion builds upon Navigator of the Seas’ inaugural season in the region and aligns with broader cruise tourism growth across Asia-Pacific.

"Royal Caribbean's decision to extend Navigator of the Seas from a six-month seasonal deployment to a year-round homeport reflects their continued confidence in Singapore as a leading cruise hub in Asia," said Chitra Rajesh Kumar, Director of Cruise at the Singapore Tourism Board.

Ben Bouldin, President of Greater China and Managing Director for Asia at Royal Caribbean, noted that year-round availability offers travelers—ranging from weekend holidaymakers to multigenerational families—unprecedented flexibility to discover Asia by sea throughout school holidays, festive periods, and long weekends.

The announcement forms part of Royal Caribbean's wider 2027–2028 Asia-Pacific program, which will also see Voyager of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Anthem of the Seas deployed across Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
