Dubai Safari Park Opens Season 8 with Enhanced Conservation Zones and Royal Safari Experience

Dubai Safari Park officially welcomed back visitors for its eighth season on Monday, marking the end of its customary summer hiatus with a week-long schedule of family-focused wildlife programs and updated animal interactions.

Spanning 119 hectares across the Al Warqa 5 district, the eco-friendly sanctuary is home to more than 3,000 animals representing nearly 300 distinct species. Operating under the theme "Live More Wild Life," this season emphasizes habitat enrichment, biodiversity education, and immersive visitor encounters designed to build public awareness around regional and global wildlife conservation.

The opening kicks off with the park's inaugural "Wildest Opening Week," running through October 18. The week features live keeper presentations, interactive workshops for children, and close-up views of recent sanctuary arrivals.

Upgraded Experiences Across Six Immersive Zones

Organized into six distinct geographical villages—including the African, Asian, and Arabian Desert villages—the park allows guests to travel through simulated natural environments.

The park's flagship Explorer Village continues to serve as the main launch point for guided open-air bus safaris, taking visitors past open-roaming habitats housing lions, rhinos, cheetahs, and giraffes.

For Season 8, operators have introduced the Royal Safari Experience, a premium four-hour private package catering to groups of up to 10 guests. The offering includes a dedicated private guide, behind-the-scenes access to animal housing facilities, reserved seating at educational wildlife shows, and direct transport throughout the complex.

Visitors planning a trip or looking to review daily schedule options can browse complete package details on the official Dubai Safari Park Visitor Portal.

Conservation and Educational Outreach Take Center Stage

Behind the scenes, veterinary and zoological teams spent the summer low-season refining habitat designs and implementing expanded animal enrichment initiatives. The park’s breeding and rehabilitation programs continue to focus on Arabian native species—such as the Arabian Oryx and Sand Gazelle—alongside ongoing international species survival efforts.

"The goal this season is to deliver an authentic, respectful safari experience where animal welfare comes first," said one senior park educator during the opening day events. "When visitors witness natural animal behaviors in open habitats, it creates a much stronger emotional connection to nature."

To ensure guest comfort during the early weeks of autumn, the park operates on seasonal hours. Gates open daily at 9:00 AM, with extended evening hours taking effect from November through March to allow visitors to experience cooler twilight tours.
