Air France Expands US Footprint With New Nonstop Routes to San Diego and Nashville
Air France is deepening its foothold across the Atlantic with direct nonstop service connecting Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to two rapidly growing American markets: San Diego (SAN) and Nashville (BNA).
Starting next May, the SkyTeam alliance flag carrier will inaugurate three weekly flights on both routes utilizing its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The strategic addition expands Air France’s transatlantic network to 20 United States destinations, offering seamless one-stop access through Paris to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

New Route Schedules and Operations
Service to San Diego begins on May 3, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The 5,698-mile route will become Air France's longest service to the US, establishing the carrier as the sole airline offering a direct link between France and Southern California's second-largest metro area.
- Paris (CDG) to San Diego (SAN): Outbound flight AF58 departs Paris at 10:10 AM and arrives in San Diego at 12:50 PM local time.
- San Diego (SAN) to Paris (CDG): Inbound flight AF59 departs San Diego at 3:10 PM and arrives in Paris at 11:05 AM the following morning.
Shortly after, nonstop service to Nashville launches on May 14, also operating three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In a nod to Music City’s legendary culture, Air France assigned flight number AF046 to the route as a tribute to Dolly Parton's birth year.
- Paris (CDG) to Nashville (BNA): Outbound flight AF38 departs Paris at 2:10 PM and arrives in Nashville at 4:40 PM local time.
- Nashville (BNA) to Paris (CDG): Inbound flight AF39 departs Nashville at 6:55 PM and arrives in Paris at 10:15 AM the following day.

Premium Onboard Experience and Connectivity
Both routes will feature Air France’s three-cabin Airbus A350-900 layout, equipped with modern Business Class lie-flat suites, Premium Economy, and refreshed Economy cabins. Passengers traveling from Tennessee and Southern California will bypass busy hub transfers in Atlanta, Chicago, or New York, cutting travel times significantly.
Travelers looking to lock in summer itineraries can compare routes and book directly through the official Air France Booking Portal or review complete destination updates on the Air France Corporate Newsroom.
The expansion comes as transatlantic passenger volume continues to climb, driven by strong demand for international leisure travel, regional biotech trade in San Diego, and music industry tourism in Tennessee. By establishing nonstops to secondary US growth hubs, Air France strengthens its position against competing European alliances while giving American travelers direct access to the City of Light.
