Air France Expands U.S. Footprint with Nonstop Paris Routes to Nashville and San Diego in Summer 2027
Air France is strengthening its transatlantic connectivity with the announcement of two new nonstop transatlantic destinations from its main hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Starting in May 2027, the French flag carrier will launch direct flights to San Diego, California and Nashville, Tennessee, pushing its total North American destination network to 27 cities.
Both new routes will be operated three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using the airline's flagship flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The widebody jets feature Air France’s latest interior cabins, accommodating 292 passengers across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes.
Tickets for both routes opened for global booking on October 14, 2026, through the official Air France platform and partner sales channels.
San Diego Gets Direct Link to France
The first of the two new transatlantic services launches on May 3, 2027, connecting Paris directly to San Diego International Airport (SAN). The westbound flight (AF058) departs Paris at 10:10 a.m. local time, landing in Southern California at 12:50 p.m. The eastbound return (AF059) departs San Diego at 3:10 p.m. and arrives in Paris the following morning at 11:05 a.m.

The long-requested route provides the greater San Diego region—a key hub for biotechnology, defense, and tourism—with its second nonstop connection to France, while offering European travelers direct access to Southern California's beaches and leisure attractions.
Travelers seeking regional details and local arrival resources can check guidance provided by the San Diego International Airport.
Nashville Route Honors Country Music Heritage
Just days later, on May 14, 2027, Air France will initiate service to Nashville International Airport (BNA). Westbound flight AF046 departs Paris at 2:10 p.m. and lands in Music City at 4:40 p.m. local time. The return flight, AF047, departs Nashville at 6:55 p.m., touching down in Paris at 10:15 a.m. the following day.
In a creative nod to Nashville’s cultural identity, Air France assigned flight number AF046 to the route as a tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton. The number references 1946, the year the singer was born.
The new flight opens direct access between Europe and one of the fastest-growing metropolitan markets in the United States, providing significant corporate and leisure benefits to Tennessee’s capital region.
Fleet Strategy and SkyTeam Synergies
The choice of the Airbus A350-900 underlines Air France's push to modernize its long-haul fleet. The aircraft delivers a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous-generation twin-engine aircraft, along with a significantly quieter cabin environment.

Passengers flying into Paris-Charles de Gaulle will be able to connect seamlessly across Air France's extensive European and international network, as well as joint-venture partner networks within the SkyTeam alliance, including Delta Air Lines.
